Saturday 8 April- Concert at Central Methodist Church performing Haydn’s “Seasons”

 Saturday 6 May- Plant Sale at Central Methodist Sunday School Hall

Saturday 15 July- Summer Concert at Central Methodist Church

Monday 4 September- Rehearsals re-start

Saturday 11 November- November concert

Saturday 9 December- Christmas concert


Monday 13th March 2017: 

Stainer's Crucifixion: 

This is an annual event to which we normally send several singers giving an opportunity to sing Stainer's Crucifixion at Truro Cathedral. 

Venue: Truro Cathedral Date: Sunday 2nd April 2017
Time: Assemble 3.15 p.m.
Rehearsal 3.30 p.m. - 5.00 p.m.
Performance 6.00 p.m. Cost: £7.50 per singer (payable in advance). 

Singers are asked to bring their own scores (members of the choir are usually willing to loan scores to people who don't own one). Julia needs to get the application form for advanced registrations in by Friday 24th March, so if people can confirm by next Monday 20th March she will include them on the application form.


Come and Sing with St Mary's Church Choir, Faure Requiem, Sunday 9th April



Monday 5th December 2016:

-Saturday's rehearsal will start promptly at 2.15pm and please arrive by 7.15pm for the evening. 

-Concert dress: Men to wear coloured bow ties and ladies to wear their WHITE blouses and a coloured scarf (no sash)

-Please bring mince pies & clotted cream on Saturday for after the concert. 

-Exeter Festival Chorus is holding a choral workshop on Mozart’s Requiem on Saturday 16 January, led by Nigel Perrin. Details are on their website  http://www.exeterfestivalchorus.org.uk/

 -Our local U3A will be singing carols with the elderly residents of Trecarne Close (off Meadowside in Launceston) on Thursday 22nd December from 2.30pm. Please meet in the conservatory. 

Monday 28th November 2016:

-Next Monday (December 5th) will be our final Monday rehearsal before our concert on Saturday 10th December.

Monday 21st November 2016

Many thanks to Jenny for organising the stall at the Lions' Bazaar and thanks to all who contributed, especially to Angela for her regular baked goods and jam sales. 


Monday 14th November 2016:

• Please return the form for our Christmas lunch to Mike Warne by next week. He'd like us to return the forms even if we aren't going.  
• On Saturday 19th November 2016 the Choral Society have a table at the Launceston Lions' Christmas Bazaar. It is being held at the White Hart from 10am -2pm. Please come and support and buy something nice for Christmas. 
• By the end of the month please could we bring in raffle prizes to Diana.
